I was treated with respect. Informed of both the positives and negatives of the procedure. My procedure was very prompt, and after discussion, Dr Manoj Bal was able to give me appointments for both eyes, enabling me to inform my work. I was given good explanation of the procedure and aftercare. All staff were kind and caring. The hospital was very clean. The cataract procedure was successful, and I can continue to drive and enjoy life without wearing glasses.

From the initial consultation to the aftercare, every aspect of the process was handled with the utmost professionalism, empathy, and efficiency. As someone who experiences significant anxiety around eye-related procedures, I was naturally apprehensive at the prospect of undergoing cataract surgery. However, the support and reassurance I received at every stage truly put me at ease. During the pre-operative appointment, the nursing team were exceptional — calm, kind, and attentive. They took the time to listen to my concerns, answer my questions in detail, and ensure I felt prepared and supported ahead of the procedure. A particular note of thanks must go to Mr. Manoj, whose expertise and clear, compassionate communication made a tremendous difference to my overall experience. He carefully explained the procedure beforehand, outlining exactly what would happen and what I should expect. On the day of the operation, the atmosphere created by the team was calm and reassuring. The staff were courteous and supportive, and Mr. Manoj once again took the time to review the procedure with me and alleviate any remaining anxiety. During the surgery itself, he and his team were exemplary — communicating clearly at each stage, keeping me informed of progress, and explaining how long each part would take. Their professionalism and calm demeanour were deeply reassuring. The aftercare I received was equally impressive. The team ensured I was comfortable and well-informed before leaving, providing detailed aftercare instructions and reinforcing their availability for any questions or concerns post-operation. And, whilst it is always easy to say in retrospect, the operation was actually way less anxiety inducing that I thought it would be. 10-20 minutes and you don’t feel a thing! In summary, I cannot speak highly enough of the care I received. The level of clinical expertise, patient communication, and genuine compassion made a potentially daunting experience smooth and manageable. For a procedure that I was dreading due to being very squeamish about eyes, the whole experience was no worse than a dental check-up. The impact of the surgery was noticeable as soon as I left the operating theatre. I'd encourage anyone who needs this to get it done and done quickly. It will transform your life!
